Staff:
We provide in each camp cooks, drivers, mechanic and camp supervisor. Two gun bearers per hunting car. Staff has been provided with uniforms and wear them at all times when on duty.
Trophies:
The experienced skinners at the camp start the process of preparing the trophy of your hunt. After processing the skin, skull, etc trophies are tagged and stored in air-conditioned storerooms. The trophies of each client are kept in separate bays until they are transported as per the clients' instructions.
Luggage:
1. Luggage forwarded in advance must be subject to approval in advance by the company. Information is to be faxed to the company including a copy of the airway bill.
2. Luggage to be forwarded after a safari will be forwarded as per your written instructions on your departure. Curios and trophies will normally be dipped, packed and shipped within six months of your departure.
Communication:
Two-way radio is standard with all the camps. Radio equipment is of high quality and multi-channeled facilities are available. Communication is maintained between the hunting cars and camp, from hunting car to hunting car, and ground to aircraft whenever practical. Contact with the rest of the world is maintained daily via our base stations at Arusha and Dar-es-salaam. International phone and fax and e-mail facilities are available at both bases.
Photographic Equipment:
The purchase of photographic equipment and film both in Arusha and Dar-es-Salaam is only available in limited supply. You are advised to bring spare batteries and additional film together with suitable connections for recharging from a vehicle or camp
Health and Immigration:
1. A visa for Tanzania is in most cases necessary. A return ticket must be held.
2. Anyone entering Tanzania must have the appropriate health documents. All documents will be checked at the airport on entry and departure.
Health Checklist:
Yellow Fever, Cholera, Hepatitis, Typhoid and Tetanus inoculations as a minimum. Consult your physician for additional protective inoculations. Anti-malarial prophylactics are a necessity. Such precautions are normally commenced one week prior to safari and end four weeks after the end of safari. You should make a point of bringing with you any specialized medicines that suit your physical state. First aid kit is kept in the camps. We require the following information as early as possible subsequent to your booking and confirming your safari:
1. Date of arrival at either Dar-es Salaam or Kilimanjaro International Airport.
2. Total number of persons in your party and relationship to one another so that we can arrange suitable accommodation.
3. Duration and type of safari i.e. photographic, bird shooting or hunting.
4. Ages of members of the party.
5. How many professional hunters you will require (two shooter per professional hunter except in the case of bird shooting)
6. Do you intend to forward luggage ahead of time?
7. Do you wish to rent firearms and purchase ammunition?
